BRICKBOUND
Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
This policy explains what information the Brickbound app ("Brickbound", "we",
"us") handles, why, and the choices you have. We built Brickbound to collect as
little as possible: there are no ads, no third-party analytics, and no
tracking SDKs, and we never sell or share your information.
Information we handle
- Game progress. Your high scores for each level and your
overall total. Stored on your device and in Apple's iCloud so your scores
sync across your devices and can appear on the global leaderboard.
- Display name. The name you choose to show on the
leaderboard and territory map. This is optional — if you don't set one, a
generic default ("Player") is used. You can change or remove it at any time
in the app's Settings.
- Approximate location (optional). If you choose to place
yourself on the territory map, the app requests a single, low-accuracy
location reading and immediately rounds it to a coarse area roughly the size
of a city region. The precise coordinate is discarded right away — we store
and share only that approximate center. The game is fully playable if you
decline location access.
- iCloud account identifier. To associate your scores with
you across your devices, we use the anonymous account identifier that Apple's
iCloud provides. We do not collect your name, email address, Apple
ID, or contacts.
How your information is used
- To save your progress and sync it across your devices.
- To show global and per-level leaderboards.
- To place your marker (display name + approximate area) on the territory map.
Where it is stored
Game data is stored on your device and in Apple iCloud / CloudKit,
which runs on Apple's infrastructure under
Apple's Privacy Policy.
Leaderboard and territory-map entries (your display name, scores, and approximate
area) live in a shared public game database so other players can see the rankings
and map. We do not operate our own separate servers or accounts.
Your choices and controls
- Location is opt-in. You can decline when prompted, or turn
it off any time in the iOS Settings app under Brickbound.
- Display name is optional and editable in Settings.
- Delete your data. In the app, go to
Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data. This permanently removes
your scores, display name, and approximate map location from both your device
and iCloud, and removes you from all leaderboards and the territory map.
- Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device. To also remove
your leaderboard and map entries from iCloud, use the in-app
"Delete My Data" option before deleting the app, or contact us.
Data retention
We keep your game data until you delete it (via the in-app tool) or request its
removal. Approximate location is only ever retained in its coarse, rounded form.
Children's privacy
Brickbound is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children
under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you
believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the "Last
updated" date above.
